While renowned filmmaker Karan Johar celebrated his 48th birthday yesterday, he and his family were put under danger when two of his home staff tested positive for COVID-19. The Bollywood producer had confirmed yesterday that his building had been disinfected after two home staff members were tested positive and sent to quarantine.

Karan Johar issued a statement over his Twitter handle and informed that soon after his house staffs displayed symptoms of Coronavirus infection, BMC was informed and the entire building was sterilized as per the standard norms. The director also informed that the rest of the staff and family members showed no symptoms of the infection. They also have taken the swab test and tested negative. However, Johar has confirmed that they will stay under self-isolation for two weeks for precautionary measures and ensuring the safety of others.

Meanwhile, a video surfaced online where Karan Johar’s mother, Hiroo Johar, was seen being sanitized at her home. In the video, Hiroo Johar can be seen bathing in the sanitization shower with the fumes coming out of a sanitization machine.
