Katy Perry shares a special bond with India as the American singer and songwriter tied a knot with her then beau Russell Brand in Rajasthan. Katy has also previously performed in Chennai at the opening ceremony of a T20 cricket league. While the singer will mark her debut in Mumbai, renowned filmmaker Karan Johar will be throwing a party for her.

Katy Perry will touch down Mumbai this week to perform at an upcoming music festival. While everyone is super excited and looking forward to the event, the latest reports suggest that Karan Johar will be hosting a lavish party for the singer at his residence.

Filmmaker Karan Johar is famous for hosting biggest parties in the B-town and the welcome party for Katy Perry is expected to be joined by the A-listers of the Bollywood industry. It is not the first time that Karan has hosted Hollywood celebrities. The filmmaker recently hosted a bash for actor Will Smith and director Darren Aronofsky earlier.

Katy Perry Dua Lipa

Expressing her excitement on returning to India, Katy Perry said, “I am so happy to be returning to India and excited to headline my first-ever performance in Mumbai. I am looking forward to seeing and singing with all of my Indian KatyCats.”

Katy will be performing live with Dua lipa at the OnePlus Music Festival happening in Mumbai on the scheduled date of 16 November at D. Y. Patil Stadium.
