The keenly anticipated and the biggest release of the year, K.G.F: Chapter 2, finally made its way to the theatres and demolished the box office records on just the first day of the outing. The Yash starrer had a historic first day run at the box office and the movie has collected a humongous 53.95 crores, leaving behind the records of War and Thugs of Hindostan.

The second instalment to the blockbuster franchise, K.G.F, had its world premiere yesterday and the advance bookings of the show had indicated a record-breaking opening. Taking to the micro-blogging website, film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared the domestic first-day collections of the Yash starrer in the Hindi language and it’s a massive 54.95 crore rupees.

The opening record was previously held by Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer actioner, War, which collected 51.63 crores at the box office followed by 50.75 crores minted by Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan. Entering the first day 50 crore club and topping the list, K.G.F Chapter 2 is now ruling the box office and with the positive word of mouth, the prediction is more records smashing in the long run.

Helmed by Prashanth Neel, K.G.F: Chapter 2 features Yash in the lead alongside Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in the key roles. The movie is released across over 10,000 screens worldwide making it the biggest post-pandemic release for an Indian movie.
