The highly-anticipated teaser trailer for Joker 2, also known as Joker: Folie à Deux, featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, was released this week to immense fan acclaim, becoming Warner Bros’ most-viewed trailer since Barbie‘s release last year.

The original Joker film, released in 2019, delved into the origin of Arthur Fleck, portrayed brilliantly by Joaquin Phoenix, who earned an Oscar for his portrayal of the iconic DC antagonist. The upcoming sequel introduces Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, showcasing intriguing chemistry with Phoenix’s Arthur, as seen in the teaser trailer.

Variety’s report revealed that Joker: Folie à Deux‘s teaser trailer garnered a staggering 160 million+ views across all platforms within its first 24 hours, debuting at Warner Bros’ CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas. Surpassing the views of Barbie‘s trailer, Joker 2’s teaser emerged as one of Warner Bros’ most significant launches in recent memory, trending as the #1 video on YouTube with over 18.7 million views and counting.

Additionally, Joker: Folie à Deux‘s teaser trailer dominated X (formerly Twitter) for 24 hours, with numerous related terms trending across the platform.
