After the back to back success of his films ‘Paramanu’ and ‘Satyamev Jayate’, Bollwood’s action star John Abraham is all set to team up yet again with Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar for their upcoming Cop action thriller ‘Batla House’ based on real incident, written by Ritesh Shah.

The team announced and released the poster of the movie on 21st September, creating the much needed hype and excitement in the audience.

Produced by John’s ‘JA Entertainment’, Nikkhil’s ‘Emmay Entertainment’ in association with Bake My Cake Films and Tseries, the movie is a fictional representation of  the controversial 2008 Indian Mujahideen Batla House encounter in New Delhi, where two of the suspected terrorists were killed, two other were arrested and some others managed to escape the premises. Police officer and Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma who was part of the ‘Operation Batla House’ unfortunately got killed in the encounter.

John Abraham will be seen playing the character of  Indian’s most decorated police officer DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, 9 Gallantry awards winner, on whom the whole movie is based on. He was the then ACP and led the Batla House operation, but his life changed post that as he had to face judicial inquiries and accusations for years that called the whole encounter fake.

It was only when Ariz Khan the terrorist who was present at the ‘Balta House’ and managed to escape the scene in 2008 was arrested in Feb this year, the whole Fake Encounter controversy was rubbished.

John is supposed to start shooting for the film in November and it is set to release on 15th August 2019 clashing with other big movies like Raj Kumar Rao’s ‘Made In China’ and Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’.
