Remakes have become bread and butter for Bollywood producers and the recent news is that Bhushan Kumar has bought the Hindi remake rights for the super hit action thriller, Vedalam, starring Ajith Kumar and Shruti Haasan in the prominent characters.

As per sources, John Abraham has been approached to play the lead character in the Hindi remake and John has allegedly nodded for the project. Currently, the makers are working on the script to adapt the story for the Bollywood audience while the director and the rest of the cast haven’t finalized yet.

Meanwhile, John Abraham is busy shooting for his upcoming movie Batla House. He is expected to begin shooting for the remake next year after wrapping up his previous commitments, Pagalpanti and Satyamev Jayate 2.

The story of Vedalam revolves around the central character who is a cab driver who lives with his sister. However, the plot takes an exciting turn when the man turns out to be secretly searching for three criminals.
