John Abraham has been hitting the right chords lately with a mixture of patriotic and comedy movies. While the actor is awaiting the release of the comedy-drama Pagalpanti with an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Urvashi Rautela, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda among others, he has confirmed reuniting with filmmaker Nikkhil Advani for another patriotic drama.

In a recent interview, Romeo Akbar Walter actor confirmed that he is collaborating with director Nikkhil Advani and he will be co-producing the project as well. The action drama will be based on the Gorkha Regiment and is under pre-production with the working title of Gorkha and expected to go on floors early next year.

The earlier reports suggested the duo to reunite for a period sports drama based on an iconic football match between Mohun Bagan Club of India and the East Yorkshire Regiment in the year 1911. Talking about the same, John Abraham mentioned that the script for the same was under process and would happen soon. “I believe football is the new cricket in India,” the actor added.

Apart from PagalpantiGorkha and period sports drama, John Abraham has a number of projects in the pipeline which includes Rensil D’Silva directorial, Mumbai Saga, based on motorcycle racing and the actor is also in talks for the Hindi adaptation of the blockbuster Hollywood actioner The Transporter.
