Starring Siddharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the prominent characters, Ek Villain released in the year 2014 and turned out to be a blockbuster with critical appreciation. After 5 years of success, the makers have decided to take the franchise forward and has been working on a sequel lately.

According to the latest updates on the development of the sequel, director Mohit Suri has approached John Abraham to play the antagonist in Ek Villain 2. As per the source, John has given his nod after listening to the script but is yet to sign the dotted line. Meanwhile, more details about the project and other actors are being finalized and kept under wraps.

While the sequel will be directed by Mohit Suri as well, the movie is expected to go on the floors next year only as John is busy with his ongoing commitments. John was recently seen in the action-thriller Batla House and will hit the big screen with the comedy-drama Pagalpanti, which is slated to a release in December.
