Indian actor John Abraham had a recent outing with Lakshya Raj Anand’s action-thriller film, Attack: Part 1, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh and he is already hooked on his next project. On Monday, the actor took to his social media handle to announce the filming of Arun Gopalan’s geopolitical thriller Tehran.

The movie was announced by filmmaker Dinesh Vijan earlier and John Abraham was brought on board as the protagonist. While the plot remains under the veils, the makers have commenced the filming of the thriller and released a very short glimpse of John Abraham’s new look.

“Lights. Camera. Time for some ACTION! #Tehran shoot begins. Directed by #ArunGopalan and produced by #DineshVijan, #SandeepLeyzell, @ShobhnaYadava. Written by @writish and @ashishpverma.@MaddockFilms @bakemycakefilms,” shared John Abraham on his Twitter handle as he shared the teaser for the movie. Inspired by true events, Tehran gives similar vibes to Abraham’s critically-acclaimed movie Madras Café.

Helmed by Arun Gopalan, Tehran is penned down by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma. The geopolitical thriller features John Abraham in the lead while the rest of the cast is yet to be announced. Apart from Tehran, the actor will be seen next in Pathaan and Ek Villain Returns.
