It was earlier announced that John Abraham and filmmaker Milap Zaveri are coming together once again for the sequel of their earlier outing, Satyameva Jayate. While the sequel was announced earlier this year, the production was halted due to the Coronavirus induced lockdown. With new guidelines and safety measures, the project is finally on the floors with John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in the leads.
Taking to the social media handle, production house T-Series shared few pictures from the sets as the team begun shooting for the movie in Lucknow with all the necessary precautionary measures in place. On the other hand, co-producer Nikkhil Advani confirmed the release date of the movie and wrote, “#SatyamevaJayate2 embarks on its journey with all the love, blessings & safety protocols…Face with medical mask. Releasing in cinemas on 12th May 2021 #SMJ2EID2021.”

“We will be shooting across Lucknow, including at heritage structures like palaces and colleges,” said director Milap Zaveri praising the efforts of Uttar Pradesh government in preserving heritage structures. The director also mentioned that they initially started the shooting with only the lead pair and the rest of the crew will join in subsequently.
Helmed by Milap Zaveri, Satyameva Jayate 2 is a sequel to the 2018 actioner and stars John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in the leads. The movie is aiming to release on 12 May 2021.
