Indian veteran actress, Jaya Bachchan, has been in the industry spanning decades but she has never played a negative character on the big screen in her long career. However, according to a report, filmmaker Karan Johar has convinced Jaya to play her first evil character for his upcoming love story, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

As per the sources, Karan Johar approached the seasoned actress to play the negative character of Rocky’s scheming manipulative grandmother in the highly anticipated movie, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead. Initially reluctant, Jaya decided to take up the challenge and gave her nod to Karan Johar to play the unconventional character on the big screen.

After years, Karan Johar is donning his director’s hat for the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer. Along with Jaya Bachchan playing a key role in the story, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will also feature veteran actors Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi playing pivotal characters.
