After the tremendous success of Gadar 2 featuring Sunny Deol, the makers of Border also announced a sequel creating hype among the fans. While the details of the highly-anticipated project have been kept under wraps since the beginning, the latest reports suggest that Sumit Arora has been brought on board to pen the screenplay and dialogues for the war drama.
The pre-production for Border 2 began earlier this year with an official announcement in June. To be helmed by Anurag Singh, the makers of the film had been looking for a talented writer to make a script that lives up to the legacy of the 1997 blockbuster and Sumit Arora was finalized to complete the pieces. Arora is best known for his recent projects – Jawan featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Chandu Champion with Kartik Aaryan and Manoj Bajpayee-led The Family Man.
The script of the movie is being worked on and the makers are currently finalizing the remainder cast for the highly-anticipated drama. With Sunny Deol headlining the project, a lot of names are being speculated to play the supporting characters including Ayushmann Khurrana and Diljit Dosanjh. However, there has been no confirmation so far. According to a source close to the development of the production, the makers are likely to organize an announcement event later next month to reveal the star cast and film crew.
