Janhvi Kapoor proved her acting mantle with her much-awaited Bollywood debut, Dhadak, and she has been experimenting with her characters at the early stage of her acting career. The actress, who had her last outing in a horror-comedy, is preparing for her next, Helen.
The survival drama, Helen, is an official Hindi remake of the National Award-winning Malayalam film with the same title. Originally helmed by Mathukutty Xavier, Helen is the story of an honest working-class girl who gets locked in the freezer of a supermarket. Janhvi Kapoor will be walking in the shoes of Anna Ben who played the character of the survivor in the Malayalam movie.
To make it a convincing survivalist drama, Janhvi Kapoor will be undergoing intense preparation to play her part. The actress will be spending some time in isolation as well as experience the trauma of being placed in the below-zero temperature to get in the hang of the character.
Talking about her preparation, her father and producer of the Hindi remake, Boney Kapoor, said, “If you look fake doing it, the audience will reject the film. Janhvi will have to work really hard to convince the audience of her character’s predicament.” Boney feels that it will be a challenge for Janhvi to do a survivalist drama so early in her career.
