The Messiah of the poor ‘Robin Hood’ is back again. Lionsgate recently dropped in the trailer of the romantic action adventure film starring Jamie Foxx and Taron Egerton of the ‘Kingsman’ franchise fame, directed by Otto Bathurst.
Inspired by the tale of Robin Hood who stole from the undeserving riches to feed the poor, the 2018 movie is a revolt against the English Crown set by Robin (Taron Egerton) and his Moorish commander Little John (Jamie Foxx).
The trailer gives a glimpse into the camaraderie shared by Robin and Little John, where in the latter is training Robin in learning the action tricks and honing his skills. Their back and forth banter is something to look forward in an otherwise generic action adventure movie and we are for sure rooting for them.
The movie also stars ‘Fifty shades of Grey’ star Jamie Dorman as Will Scarlet, Robin’s half brother and husband of his love interest Marian played by Eve Hewson, Ben Mendelsohn and Tim Minchin in pivotal characters.
After a lot of delays, ‘Robin Hood’ is set to hit the theatres on 21st November 2018.
