Renowned music composer, Tanishk Bagchi, recently released his version of A.R. Rehman’s iconic song Masakali from the 2009 musical-drama, Delhi 6. However, the remix Masakali 2.0 didn’t go well with the netizens and the composer was brutally trolled for deliberately destroying the iconic song featuring Sonam Kapoor and a dove.
While the original composer, A.R. Rehman, himself slammed the remix and asked his fans to enjoy the original song instead, Jaipur Police took a huge dig at the remix. Amid the nationwide lockdown, Jaipur Police requested netizens to stay at their home through its social media handle and went viral for its sarcastic take on the song.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, Jaipur Police twisted the lyrics of the song and wrote, “Mat udiyo, tu dariyo. Na kar manmani, manmani. Ghar mein hi rahiyo, naa kar naadani. Ae masakali, masakali.” However, that was not enough as the photo attached with the Tweet read, “If you are unnecessarily roaming outside, we will put you in a room & play Masakkali 2.0 in a loop.”
