Salman Khan is on a roll with back to back movie announcements. While the last couple releases of the superstar failed to live up to the expectations, his fans are having high hopes from the upcoming instalment of the much-loved Dabangg franchise. Meanwhile, Salman Khan has also announced the release date of his upcoming actioner, Radhe, his fans are in for a treat as the release date of Kick 2 has been locked as well.
The 2014 vigilante drama Kick was a successful and profitable venture for both Salman Khan and the director, Sajid Nadiadwala, and rumours of them reuniting for a sequel to the franchise has been making rounds lately. Salman Khan had earlier confirmed that Kick 2 is definitely on the cards, the latest reports suggest that the makers of the movie have locked in Eid 2021 to release the actioner.
However, the leading actress for the vigilante drama is still under discussion as the makers have proposed three options to the Bharat actor. While Jacqueline Fernandez is their first choice to play the female lead in the upcoming sequel, reports suggest that the makers are considering Pooja Hedge and Kriti Sanon for the role as well. Both the actresses have a three-movie contract with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and they shared a great bond with the director as well.
The script for the sequel has been locked and the team is currently working on the dialogue-writing and we expect more updates for Kick 2 soon once the actress has been locked. Helmed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kick 2 is slated to release on 13 May 2021.
