The remake of iconic Mahesh Bhatt directorial Arth has been on the cards for quite some time and everyone has been waiting for more updates regarding the project. The latest reports suggest that lead actors have been locked for the remake of the movie from 1982.

According to the latest update, Emraan Hashmi has been roped to play the male lead opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhaskar. While we are still awaiting official confirmation, Emran Hashmi is said to play the character of Inder originally portrayed by Kulbushan Kharbanda, Jacqueline Fernandez is expected to portray the role of Kavita played by Smita Patil in the original movie and Swara Bhaskar will portray the character of Pooja which was originally played by Shabana Azmi.

The movie will be helmed by actress turned filmmaker Revathi and will be produced under the banner of Vishesh Films. The remake of the classic hit is expected to go on the floors by the end of this year and will release on the big screen in the mid-2020.
