Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the news lately in links with a money extortion investigation where she is cooperating with the investigation agency to collect evidence against the conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. The actress had first appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in August for questioning and she had been skipping summons ever since. On Wednesday, Jacqueline visited the ED for further questioning in the case.

For the unversed, conman Sukesh Chandrashekar was arrested in Delhi on charges of cheating some high-profile people including the former promoter of Fortis Healthcare and his wife. In order to confront him and further investigate his financial transactions, ED had summoned Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi among others. Nora had recently appeared before the agency and recorded her statement while Jacqueline had been skipping summons owing to her professional commitments.

After skipping four summons in a row, Jacqueline finally appeared before the agency and completed the questioning. However, she has kept the matter private to her and avoided making any public statements citing her involvement in the ongoing investigation. On the other hand, the spokesperson of Nora Fatehi had issued a public statement alleging that Nora is a victim in the money extortion case and cooperating with the agency in the investigation.
