Jacqueline Fernandes and Sushant Singh Rajput are all set ready for their first Dharma productions venture with ‘Drive’, that will be out in June 2019.  The official announcement of which was made on 3rd January with a 20 second long teaser.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has had a terrific 2018 as a producer and director starting from Raazi, Dhadak, Lust Stories, 2.0 and a banger end to the year with Rohit Shetty’s Simmba. This year as well is going to be a massive one with four big releases – Brahmastra, Kalank, Kesari and Student of the year 2.

‘Drive’ is said to be the remake of 2011’s Ryan Gosling and Carrey Mulligan starrer Hollywood flick based on James Sallis’s 2005 novel with the same name. However, the Bollywood remake will be kick starting a franchise with this one. The cast of this action drama also includes Pankaj Tripathi, Sapna Pabbi and Vikramjeet Virk in pivotal roles.

Directed by Dostana (2008)  director Tarun Mansukhani, the team began shooting for the movie last year in March and was set to release in 2018 itself, however, due to necessary re-shoots and patch work the film got delayed. Now the film, which is the first in this franchise series will hit the theatres on 28th June 2019.
