Miss World pageant winner Manushi Chhillar won million hearts with her elegance and intelligence. While the model made us all proud on a global stage, she made it clear earlier that she wants to pursue a career in acting in the Bollywood industry. Since then there are rumours of her debuting with big banner projects doing rounds over the internet and recently, it has been confirmed by the Miss World herself.
After much speculation on her debut, Manushi Chhillar is officially marking her debut in commercial acting opposite Akshay Kumar under the Yash Raj Films banner. Manushi will be debuting with the upcoming period drama Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar in the titular character, which will be based on the iconic 12th-century monarch Prithviraj Chauhan.
Known for directing period drama television series Chanakya and revenge thriller Pinjar, Chandraprakash Dwivedi will helm the Akshay Kumar starrer while Manushi will portray the character of his wife, Sanyogita. Sharing her excitement for bagging the role, Manushi said, “It is a huge honour to have been chosen by a production house like Yash Raj Films as their heroine. I am thoroughly happy and thrilled about the learnings that I will have through this journey.”

Manushi Chhillar auditioned for the role multiple times and impressed the director with her confidence and magnetic persona which was pre-requisite to play the princess Sanyogita. While the official announcement was recently made, Manushi has been groomed by Yash Raj Films for the last 9 months and she has been rehearsing 6 days a week to get into the skin of the character. The movie is scheduled to release around Diwali next year.
