It was earlier speculated by popular media that Akshay Kumar might pull the plug on the Hera Pheri franchise after citing creative differences with the team. The reports were followed by Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay Kumar as the lead in the upcoming Hera Pheri 3 and now Paresh Rawal has officially confirmed that Kartik has indeed come on board.
During an interaction with fans over the micro-blogging website, Twitter, actor Paresh Rawal confirmed that Kartik Aaryan is now a part of the Hera Pheri franchise. However, he refrained from confirming the status of Akshay Kumar in the keenly anticipated comedy drama.

Earlier, producer Firoz Nadiadwala had confirmed that he is planning to bring back the comedy films franchises with Hera Pheri 3 being the most requested. Following the announcement, the Hera Pheri franchise saw the limelight once again and the team begin prepping for another addition to the cult franchise. However, news of a change in the lead cast has worried the fans forever and with the news of Kartik joining the crew, the Akshay Kumar fans are left in shock.
