Last year, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and URI actor Vicky Kaushal announced a collaboration for a biopic based on the life and times of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest war heroes. The team began filming the keenly-anticipated project in August and has finally announced a schedule wrap with a celebration.

Lead actor Vicky Kaushal took to his social media handle to share some pictures from the sets of Sam Bahadur as the team celebrates the completion of a two-months long schedule. “After more than 2 months of relentless work across 5 cities… it’s a SCHEDULE WRAPPP for the बहादुरs!!! Few more cities and a few more months to go. See you soon Team, to continue our journey of making #SAMबहादुर,” wrote the actor as he celebrated the milestone with his team.

The biographical drama helmed by Meghna Gulzar features Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, alongside Sanya Malhotra as Manekshaw’s wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Apart from Sam Bahadur, Vicky Kaushal will be sharing screen space with Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the first time in Aditya Dhar’s directorial The Immortal Ashwatthama. The URI star also has Govinda Naam Mera co-starring Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar, Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan and The Great Indian Family in the making.
