Bollywood actor and younger brother to Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, proved his mantle with his early feature films and he is open to experimenting with different genres in the initial phase of his career. While the actor was last seen in the masala movie, Khaali Peeli, with Ananya Panday, he recently wrapped filming of horror-comedy Phone Bhoot with Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi. On Wednesday, Ishaan announced the filming of his next, Pippa, which will be an epic war drama.
Ishaan Khatter commenced the first schedule of his upcoming war film, Pippa, in Amritsar and shared the first look poster with his fans. The movie poster features Ishaan as Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta in a tank with the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war in the backdrop. The still reads, “1971: A Nation Comes of Age” as the tagline. “This is going to be special. ‘Shooting’ begins for our #Pippa! Godspeed,” adds Ishaan Khatter in the caption.

Sharing his excitement, filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon said: “I’m beyond excited to venture into the field with our amazing cast and crew. We’ve all been prepping hard for this day, and I cannot wait to bring this incredible story of valour and liberty to the audiences.”
Based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees’ by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, Pippa features Ishaan Khatter in a heroic tank battle on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Helmed by Raja Krishna Menon, the war film also features Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in key roles.
