Critically acclaimed Bollywood and Hollywood actor, Irrfan Khan, had been rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital after his health deteriorated at his home in Mumbai. As per early reports, Irrfan Khan collapsed in his bathroom and complained about difficulty to breathe and sudden weakness.
The 54-year-old actor was immediately admitted to the hospital in Mumbai and so far there has been no update on his health but it has been informed that he is in intense care unit (ICU). Irrfan Khan came back to India months ago after his treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour which was diagnosed a couple years ago. Irrfan had been on a sabbatical in the Bollywood for a year due to his treatment and had skipped promotions of his recent release, Angrezi Medium, as well.
Earlier this week, Irrfan Khan experienced a terrible loss when his mother, Saeeda Begum, passed away in Jaipur and due to the lockdown, he wasn’t able to attend the funeral of his mother. It was earlier reported that the actor was absent because he was abroad but the latest report also suggests that he was unwell and the nationwide lockdown made his absence more reasonable.
Currently, the actor has been accompanied by his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, and two sons, Babil and Ayan, and it has been informed that the actor is suffering from a colon infection. We are waiting for an update on his health and we hope for the best.
