Kiara Advani’s first solo female-centric film, Indoo Ki Jawani, has been the talk of the town for months for its release. While the comedy-drama was earlier said to be prepared for a direct OTT release, the relaxation in government guidelines had the makers in two minds. While the majority of filmmakers are inclining towards the OTT premiere for their movies, the makers of Indoo Ki Jawani has finally opted for the traditional theatrical release.

The lead actress took to her social media handle to announce that her next will be released in the cinemas and revealed the release date as well. “It’s happening!!! #IndooKiJawani in cinemas near you on 11th December 2020,” the caption read as Kiara Advani shared a quirky movie poster. The Abir Sengupta directorial will be testing waters at the cinema halls after the months-long pandemic-induced lockdown which changed the fate of many movies.

Earlier, the makers have mentioned that considering the segment of their movie, half occupancy of the theatres is ideal and therefore, social distancing restriction at the cinema halls is not a deal-breaker for them. The mid-budgeted movie will instead be the only option with A-listers for the cinemagoers who are expected to purchase the tickets and enjoy the good-old movie experience at the big screen.

Meanwhile, some producers of the big-budgeted movies are waiting for the pandemic crisis to pass before they hit the theatres. Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi and Kabir Khan’s sports-biographical 83 starring Ranveer Singh are the two big releases eyeing for 2021.
