Chup, directed by R Balki, will release in theatres on September 23 and is getting benefitted from the discounted ticket rates in honour of National Cinema Day. The thriller Chup: Revenge of the Artist, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol, has outperformed blockbusters like Gangubai Kathiawadi and JugJugg Jeeyo in terms of advance ticket sales.

Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary play crucial parts in the movie Chup: Revenge of the Artist. Balki is in charge of it, while Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Jayantilal Gada, Anil Naidu, and Gauri Shinde are the financiers.

Tickets for the R Balki-directed film, which will release in theatres on September 23, are selling mostly as a result of a price cut in honour of National Cinema Day, which falls this Friday. On Friday, tickets will cost Rs 75. By Wednesday night, Chup had sold more than 63,000 tickets through national chains, surpassing the early ticket sales of movies like Jug Jugg Jeeyo (57k), Gangubai Kathiawadi (56K), and Shamshera (46K).

The film is anticipated to gross roughly Rs 2.5 crore on opening day and depending on how many people show up at the theatres on Friday, it may potentially surpass the Rs 3 crore threshold. Chup sold 13,000 tickets at Cinepolis theatres and 20,000 at INOX theatres. But in the end, PVR took the lead with 30,000 tickets sold.

Chup’s opening day attendance may possibly surpass that of Kartik Aaryan’s super successful Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The movie will now be shown on over 800 screens in North India alone instead of the 600 that were originally planned for its release.

The future seems promising for Chup: Revenge of the Artist. If the movie succeeds in engaging the audience, word-of-mouth will assist boost its box office earnings. The Ayan Mukerji-directed film Brahmastra, which has made over Rs 360 crore globally, is currently smashing the box office. It has allegedly also sold more than 4 lakh tickets.
