Madhavan and Vijay Sethupapthi starrer Vikram Vedha in May but due to the rising cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, the production of the movie was postponed. However, now as per the leading tabloid, Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik is dicey about the project and has reportedly opted out of the movie.

According to sources close to the actor, he has allegedly opted out of Vikram Vedha Hindi remake to play the lead in the Hindi adaptation of British drama, The Night Manager, which originally featured Tom Hiddleston. Hrithik was offered the web series earlier but he had rejected the project citing date issues. However, according to the latest reports, Hrithik has shuffled his dates once again and opted out of the Vikram Vedha remake to play the lead in the web series.
