After more than a decade since Krrish 3 hit screens in 2013, fans have eagerly awaited news of the next instalment. Recently, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan provided an update indicating progress for Krrish 4. The wait for fans of the Indian superhero franchise Krrish seems to be nearing an end. In 2023, Rakesh Roshan hinted that Krrish 4 wouldn’t start production until late 2024. However, a recent report from Mid-day suggests both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan are preparing to accelerate the project.
Sources close to the production revealed that Hrithik Roshan will play an active role in shaping the next chapter of the superhero saga while concurrently filming War 2. Teaming up with his father and their in-house team of writers, they aim to solidify the core idea for Krrish 4 this year. A source shared, “The project is currently in development. Hrithik has scheduled brainstorming sessions throughout the summer. Both Rakesh and he wants to deliver a story that will surpass expectations.”
Though plot details are kept secret, earlier speculations hinted at Krrish 4 delving into intergalactic travel. With plans to finalize the main concept in 2024, shooting is expected to commence in 2025. The source added, “The team has explored and dismissed numerous ideas. The makers are determined that if the story doesn’t resonate, they won’t proceed with it. Hence, they’ve dedicated months to finding the right narrative to propel the superhero’s journey forward.”
