India’s largest premium streaming platform, Hotstar, has recently launched its Specials web-series Hostages starring Ronit Roy in the lead and marking the digital debut of Tisca Chopra. Directed by renowned Bollywood director Sudhir Mishra, Hostages is an official adaptation of the Israeli drama series of the same name.

Hotstar Specials Hostages has been released as a 10 episodes series that is available to the premium users of the streaming platform. The series tells the story of a doctor whose family is taken hostage by a group of terrorists and she is given a choice to either save her family or the Chief Minister.

The story starts with introducing the protagonist portrayed by Ronit Roy who is playing Superintended of Police, Prithvi Singh while setting up the premise of the fight against terrorism. Then the primary character of Dr Mira Anand, portrayed by Tisca Chopra, was introduced along with her family going through their respective personal troubles.

Hostages Rewiew Hotstar Specials

The story followed to build up the plot as Dr Mira was given the responsibility to operate the Chief Minister played by Dalip Tahil. Soon after this incident, her family got attacked by a group of masked men and they put her on gunpoint to kill the Chief Minister during the operation.

The overall screenplay is worth a watch with its gripping suspense and fantastic performances by the star cast. Ronit Roy has earlier played characters of a cop and he is giving his best shot in the web-series while the primary character of Dr Mira played by Tisca Chopra is natural and believable.

The credit equally goes to other casts and especially to the director who has earlier produced critically acclaimed works like Chameli and Yeh Saali Zindagi. Hostages is streaming on Hotstar and you can watch it if you love to watch intense thrillers.
