Rapper and music composer, Yo Yo Honey Singh, made his huge comeback with the music video song Makhna featuring Singhsta, Nidhi Sunil, Pinaki, Sean, and Allistair while Neha Kakkar voiced the female part of the song. The music video was an instant hit and became a party anthem. However, the Punjab Women Commission has sought action against Yo Yo Honey Singh for the use of obscene lyrics against women.

Manisha Gulati, the chairperson of the women panel, wrote a letter to the State Home Secretary, Punjab Director General of Police, and Inspector General of Police, to take necessary action against the rapper and seeking a state ban of the alleged music video.

Manisha said that they have asked the Punjab police to file an FIR against Yo Yo Honey Singh for using vulgar lyrics against women in his music video Makhna. The women panel has sought a status report from the police officials by 12th of July.

However, this is not the first time when music composer and rapper, Honey Singh, has got caught in controversies related to his lyrics. In the year 2013, Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered the Punjab Government to take action against him and suggested boycotting him for singing vulgar songs.
