Hollywood celebrity Drew Barrymore has requested everyone to help India amid the Covid-19 second wave. The actress has talked about the issue on her popular talk show called The Drew Barrymore Show.

Barrymore greets the audience with a ‘Namaste India!’ slogan and continues to give her a special message for the people of India. She reminds everyone of her deep-rooted connection with the country and how she has always loved and admired India for its culture, traditions, its people and its heritage so much more.

Additionally, Barrymore tells that India holds a very special corner in her heart and she has met so many wonderful people during her visits to the country. These people, she tells have truly inspired her as a person and encouraged her to write a chapter in her book as well.

She informs that as we cope with the worldwide situation this time, her heart goes out to the people of India who’re trying their best to hold it together. On the show, she wished and said prayers for everyone to stay strong and believe that they will come out of this stronger and better together.

Additionally, the actress told that she has come across a couple of articles on the web that revive some faith and positivity in her like a 110-year-old Covid-19 survivor in India, or how a man has done his bit by donating his entire life’s savings towards Covid relief. Several people that include celebrities and organisations as well have come together and pledged to support. People have also started food centres and relief groups which is truly the need of the hour.

Barrymore believes that little contribution could be helpful as well and add to making a giant difference, and even save a life. She urges urge everyone to do whatever they can do in their capacity. The actress also sends much love, healing, prayers and faith in the light at the end of this dark tunnel. She concludes by greeting with ‘Namaste’ once again along with thanking everyone for their love. Her show airs at Zee Cafe in India.
