Tom Holland is set to take on the lead as Spiderman in the highly-awaited Spiderman 3. The live-action superhero film is expected to embrace the multi-verse elements and bring back the characters from previous films in the franchise.

Andrew Garfield can be expected to be seen as Peter Parker from a parallel universe in the film and woo fans. Moreover, Alfred Molina who played the role of tentacled scientist-turned-supervillain Dr Otto Octavius or Doctor Octopus will make a return. Fox, who played the role of supervillain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, is also returning. While the film received mixed critical reception, Foxx’s performance was appreciated widely.

Other characters which most likely will be resurrected include Gwen Stacy, whose character is played by Emma Stone and J. Jonah Jameson whose character is played by J.K Simmons in the ‘Spider-Man Trilogy’ is also expected to make an appearance. 

Not to forget Benedict Cumberbatch will crossover into the spiderman universe as Doctor Strange. The film, now in production is set to release in 2021.
