Indian cricket team’s all-rounder athlete, Hardik Pandya, has been one of the most talked-about of the Indian sports industry for all reasons. The cricketer faced severe criticism for his sexist remarks post his appearance as a guest in Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show, Koffee With Karan. While he was suspended from the Indian cricket team, he recently opened up on the controversy.
At a recent event, Hardik Pandya was quizzed about his take on the controversies associated with the filmmaker’s chat show and he finally opened up on the same. The Indian skipper said that as a cricketer, he was not aware of the forthcomings for his stint at the show. “We as cricketers did not know what was going to happen. The ball was not in my court, it was in some else’s court where they had to take the shot and that’s a very vulnerable place you don’t want to be,” the cricketer said.
For the unversed, Hardik Pandya along with another cricketer, K L Rahul, appeared at the chat show, Koffee With Karan, and opened up on their personal life. The questions by the host Karan Johar led them to make multiple sexist remarks which didn’t go well with many. Both the cricketers were sent notices by BCCI and were suspended from the national team just before India’s ODI series with Australia.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is way past the controversy associated with him for his controversial remarks and looking forward to his marriage with fiancee Natasha Stankovic. The cricketer recently took to his social media handles to share engagement pictures with his girlfriend and since then speculations about their marriage has been doing rounds over the internet.
