02. UDTA PUNJAB

Udta Punjab is a film with a massive star cast including Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles. Alia portrayed the character of a migrant worker from northern India, who is working in Punjab. Her character tries to rise above her situation and goes through an incredible journey. Her terrific performance definitely did not go unnoticed.

03. DEAR ZINDAGI

Alia Bhatt’s Last Film of 2016 was the much-loved Dear Zindagi. This film is one of the best films of Alia Bhatt’s filmography. The story is about Kaira, a young woman who has everything in her life to be happy about but suffers from depression and insomnia. What made everyone fall in love with the movie is the character of Kaira, which every youngster of today can relate to. The movie delicately deals with the concept of mental instability.

04. RAAZI

Director Meghna Gulzar was bowled over by Bhatt’s portrayal of Sehmat Kaur in ‘Raazi’ (2018). It was after this movie, the filmmaker said that the actress had raised the bar for herself in cinema. Gulzar even said that Bhatt was a quick learner as she learned a different dialect by watching only half of one film. The movie collected over Rs 200 crore, worldwide. It was based on author Harinder Sikka’s book ‘Calling Sehmat’.

05. GULLY BOY

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy has been one of the finest films of 2019 and well, it was good enough to make it to the Oscars that year as well.
