Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, who stole hearts with her surprise appearance at Diljit Dosanjh’s London concert in October 2023, is now making headlines again—but for unfortunate reasons. While fans were initially thrilled about a potential collaboration between the two stars, reports now suggest Hania may no longer be part of Diljit’s upcoming film, Sardaar Ji 3.

The duo sparked buzz last year when Diljit dedicated his hit track Lover to Hania live on stage, creating a moment that quickly went viral. Rumours of a professional collaboration followed, with insiders speculating that Hania would join Diljit and Neeru Bajwa in the third instalment of the Sardaar Ji franchise. However, recent political tensions may have changed those plans.

On April 22, a tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, claimed the lives of 26 tourists and further strained relations between India and Pakistan. In the aftermath, several cross-border entertainment projects have come under scrutiny. One of the early casualties appears to be Fawad Khan’s much-anticipated Bollywood comeback film Abir Gulaal, whose Indian release is reportedly on hold. Now, it seems Sardaar Ji 3 may also be impacted.

Sources close to the production reveal that although Hania had already completed her portions during filming in the UK last month, the team is now considering reshooting her scenes with a different actress. While nothing has been confirmed officially, this potential casting change has triggered strong reactions online.

Social media has been divided. Some users support the rumoured decision, calling it “justified” given the political climate, while others believe it’s unfair to hold artists accountable for international conflicts. One user wrote, “Why punish someone who had nothing to do with it?” Another commented, “It’s just a movie. Let art be separate from politics.”

As of now, no formal statement has been released by the filmmakers or Hania Aamir herself. Fans remain hopeful for clarity and are watching closely to see how this high-profile situation unfolds.
