Bollywood super star Ranveer Singh is all set to prove everyone yet again why he is the most sort after actor we have in Indian cinema presently with writer-director Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, where he would be seen playing the role of an underground street rapper.
Ranveer Singh is surely living the best of his time at the moment. Firstly, marrying the wife of his dreams Deepika Padukone, soon after bagging the Best Actor award for his performance as the vicious Khilji in Padmavat and then giving his career’s best ever opening with Rohit Shetty’s masala Cop entertainer Simmba, which has crossed 150 crores in week.
In Gully Boy, the actor will be seen absolutely shedding off his Simmba’s flamboyant & loud image to a more intense, rooted, angry yet distant avtar. Inspired by real street rappers Divine and Naezy, the movie is set out to introduce the audience to what real a.k.a Asli Hip Hop is, to the world of street rappers.
Produced by Tiger Baby & Excel Entertainment, the team released the trailer announcement teaser recently, which has started the new year with a Bang. Probably one of the first movie teasers of 2019 that has us really pumped and is eagerly awaited.
The movie is set to take you through the journey of a guy from the streets, who realises his talent and passion for Rap music, to express his thoughts, feelings and reach out to a wider audience. Story of an underdog, who finds his niche and introduces everyone to the world of organic Rap.
Joining the ensemble cast are Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Nassar, Parmeet Sethi, Kubra Sait, and Pooja Gor in significant roles.
