Last year, sci-fi fans witnessed the epic and gruesome battle to claim the throne of monsters in the Michael Dougherty directorial Godzilla: King Of The Monsters and fans have been eagerly waiting for the next showdown. While Godzilla Vs Kong was planted in the last release, makers are planning the release of one of the biggest crossovers amid the Coronavirus crisis.
While the spokesperson of the production house Warner Bros has said that the movie is scheduled to release in the theatres last year, inside sources close to the development of the epic monster drama claim that the makers are looking forward to releasing the movie digitally. As per Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has made an offer of more than $200 million to bag the movie while WarnerMedia has blocked the deal while preparing an offer of its own for its streamer, HBO Max.
Godzilla Vs Kong is the fourth instalment to the franchise of monsters and will bring together Godzilla and King Kong in a highly anticipated fight. While in the last release, Godzilla reclaimed his king status after defeating King Ghidorah and started a chain reaction in the Earth’s ecosystem, it hinted that King Kong is the next top contender to the throne. Whether the movie releases in the theatres or on the OTT platforms, it is certain that the epic fight between the ‘God’ and the ‘King’ will be worth looking out for.
