‘When you play the game of throne, either you win or die’
‘Winter is coming for all of us’, but this time the winter for ‘Game of Thrones’ (GoT) fans will arrive in the summer of 2019. HBO recently confirmed the final season of the biggest and most successful fantasy series ever made will be premiered in the month of April 2019.
The seventh season of the show left the fans with a lot of future predictions and confusion since there is no book written on the same to fall back on.
The speculations for the climax of the show is getting wider with each passing day, but no one knows what’s gonna happen? However, there is one thing we are sure about and that is there’s going to be some great reunions of characters who parted ways in the previous seasons.
Let’s take a look at some of the most fascinating reunions fans are looking forward to see in the finale season 8.
Jon Snow and Arya Stark
The fans were expecting the two half-siblings would see each other in the seventh season when Arya returned to Winterfell, but it didn’t happen, as Jon snow was sailing to the North with Daenerys and the two caught up themselves in some steamy emotions. Jon and Arya are quite fond of each other and it would be extremely interesting to see them fighting the Great War together against the dead.
Jon and Sam
The companionship of Jon and Sam was quite appreciated by the fans, but it was in the fourth season when we last saw the two together. Sam has gathered more insights and education while spending his days in the Citadel, and also learned the blood lining of Jon Snow.
In season 8, we can expect the two friends would get reunited and maybe Sam could reveal the truth that Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targareyan and Lyanna Stark.
Viserion and Daenerys
When the Viserion was killed by the spear of Night’s King, that moment was an emotional one equally for the fans as was for Daenerys. When the undead Viserion smashed the wall of East-watch by the seaside, it filled the mind of the viewers with terror and curiosity. It would be a ‘moment not to miss’ when Daenerys would see her undead child in the Great War.
Sansa and Tyrion
The marriage of Sansa and Tyrion was just a political move, however, they both were kind to each other. The two were last seen in the fourth season when King Joffrey was murdered and Tyrion was held accountable for the crime. In the last season, we saw Tyrion being the hand of the queen and Sansa the lady of the Winterfell. The two would again see each other in the Winterfell in the episodes of season 8.
Jaime and Brienne
It would be a real treat to the eyes to watch the reunion of Jaime Lannister of House Lannister and Brienne Of Tarth in the final season.
The rock solid lady Brienne, who lives by her idea of honoring her words and ruthless warrior Jamie who could do anything for his sister Cersei, got some charged feelings in them for each other. Fans might want to see some romance between the two mismatched couple in the last season.
Jaime and Bran
The ‘Third-eyed raven’ Bran and Jaime didn’t cross each other’s path since the first season when Jaime pushed him from the window that left him crippled. Jaime would head to North where he would meet Bran and it would be interesting to see how the two are going to handle this unexpected union.
The Hound and Sansa
Hound had protected Sansa many times in the Kings Landing when she was a little bud and also escorted her home safe and sound at the Battle of Black Water when Joffrey left him. In the climax season, fans would get to see Sansa and Hound in the Winterfell.
Gandry and Arya
The bastard of Robert Baratheon, Gandry and Arya stark got into companionship in the king’s landing. Arya believes he is dead, but it would be a surprise for her to see Gandry again. The sprouting feelings of Arya for Gandry might grow more when they would see each other.
Arya and Nymeria
It was in the seventh season when we saw Arya bidding farewell to her direwolf Nymeria. It would be possible that Nymeria would rejoin Arya along with the wolfpacks in the fight against the white walkers.
