Kanchana movie also known as Muni is a hit film franchise in South India directed by Raghava Lawrence. It is a horror-comedy series which began with the 2007 film Muni,  2011 film Muni 2: Kanchana, and latest is kanchana 3, which became the first summer blockbuster of 2019 in Tamil.

Lawrence decided to stick with the name Kanchana, claiming that the name was catchy as well as lucky for him and now he is all set to helm the Hindi remake of kanchana 2, the most successful film in the series so far. It has been titled Laxmmi Bomb and features Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani.

The plot revolves around a ghost-fearing man who gets possessed by the spirit of a revenge-seeking transwoman. Akshay shared the first look of the movie on his Instagram handle.

The movie also stars R Madhavan and Shobita Dhulipala and is written by Farhad Samji. Produced by Shabina Khan and Tusshar Kapoor, it is set to release on June 5, 2020.

Apart from Laxmmi Bomb, Akshay and Kiara will be seen together in the upcoming movie Good News. Talking about the individual project,  Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is in progress and Advani is all set with her upcoming flick Kabir Singh.
