Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately and ever since her husband got arrested in an alleged adult movie production racket, more and more troubles are brewing for the 46-year-old. In another shocking turn of events, Shilpa and her mother, Sunanda, have been booked in an alleged case of fraud in Uttar Pradesh.
As per the received information, two complainants claim that Shilpa Shetty and her mother, Sunanda Shetty, took crores of rupees from them for opening a branch of the wellness centre run by the actress and her mother. However, the complaint claims that no promise has been fulfilled to date. According to the police officials, Shilpa runs a fitness wellness chain named Losis Wellness Centre and her mother is the director of the fitness chain.
The FIRs registered by Jyotsna Chauhan and Rohit Veer Singh at Vibhuti Khand police station and Hazratganj police station, respectively, accused the mother-daughter of cheating. The Hazratganj Police and Vibhuti Khand Police have sent notices to Shilpa and her mother as they begin their investigation in the case.
Earlier, Shilpa and her husband, Raj Kundra, were slapped with a hefty penalty by Sebi for disclosure lapses and consequent violation of insider trading norms. Meanwhile, Raj Kundra remains in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in producing and streaming illegal adult content.
