Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan starrer mythological drama, Adipurush, went on the floors early morning on Tuesday but the shooting was halted after a massive fire broke out in the studio. There have been no reports of causality in the unfortunate incident but the fire has caused damage to the shooting equipment.
According to the fire officials, a level 2 fire broke out at 4:15 pm in the film city at Goregaon where the filming of Om Raut directorial commenced earlier. The studio reportedly located in Laxmi Park had over 100 crew members on the scene when the incident happened. Mumbai fire brigade and Mumbai police immediately rushed to the studio and gained control on the massive fire.
As per the reports, the makers of the highly-anticipated movie were shooting with a green screen when the fire broke out and damaged equipment.
Helmed by Om Raut, Adipurush celebrates the victory of good over evil in a modern adaptation of Indian epic Ramayana. The movie stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan against each other and involves heavy VFX work.
