Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has been fined by the Mumbai Police for not wearing a helmet while riding with his wife on Valentine’s day in Mumbai. A video was shared by the actor on 14th February in which he can be seen riding a Harley Davidson cruiser bike with his wife at the pillion seat. However, the actor was neither wearing a helmet not he was wearing a mask while both are mandatory as per law.

When netizens and social activists pointed him out for his mistake, Santacruz Traffic Police took charge and fined the actor for not wearing a helmet as well as registered an FIR for not wearing the mask and putting others at risk of the viral pandemic. An e-challan of INR 500 was generated by the Santacruz division for not wearing a helmet during the bike ride, an FIR under Section 129/177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, Section 21, of the Maharashtra Covid-19 Measures 2020 has been registered against the actor at Juhu Police Station.

The Mumbai Police tried to reach out to the actor at his Mumbai residence to record his statement but he couldn’t be contacted as he is in Delhi.
