Choreographer Ganesh Acharya has been making headlines lately but for all the bad reasons. The choreographer was accused of sexual harassment and now an FIR has been filed against him. The complaint also includes the names of two women who were allegedly involved in the beating of the complainant at the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association.
The FIR has been registered at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai and Someshwar Kamthe, the senior inspector, has said that an investigation has already begun. The case has been registered under IPC sections 354-A (sexual harassment), 354-C (Watching, or capturing the image of a woman engaging in a private act), 354-D (stalking), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
For the unversed, the concerned woman was allegedly forced by the choreographer to watch adult videos in the name of work. The woman had also approached Maharashtra Women’s commission to seek justice for herself and punishment for the accused. On the other hand, Ganesh Acharya has accused rival and ace choreographer Saroj Khan of allegedly conspiring against him.
