When the film was initially announced, a video surfaced making claims about Tipu Sultan’s rule, including the destruction of temples and churches, forced conversions, and other alleged atrocities.
Sandeep had aimed to expose what he referred to as Tipu Sultan’s dark side, stating that history textbooks portrayed him as a braveheart, but he wanted to shed light on the king’s malevolent aspects for future generations.
Scheduled for release in multiple languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, the film was to be directed by Pawan Sharma, who sought to challenge the traditional portrayal of Tipu Sultan.
Moving on from this project, Sandeep Singh is currently focused on his new endeavour, a biopic on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee titled Main Atal Hoon, featuring Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role.
