Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh is presently savouring the success of her recent OTT Ajeeb Daastaans. She has played the role of Lipakshi, in the anthology who is a dissatisfied wife in a marriage arranged solely for political profit and is being appreciated for her performance from all corners. Now in a recent interview, the actress spilt the beans about her private life.

When asked to elaborate upon toxic relationships, the actress admitted that she has been in toxic relationships earlier. She believes that it sounds like an easy job to say, ‘haan hum ye kar lenge, wo kar lenge (I will do this, I will do that)’ but only when one is involved in it, he/she finds it very difficult to cope with the situation. She is aware and understands that a lot of women go through the same, especially when they are not stable and are financially dependent on their husband, it makes it almost impossible for them to get rid of a toxic marriage.

Earlier this month, Shaikh was diagnosed with COVID-19. In an interview, she said that many people even now, given the seriousness of the situation, assume that the disease coronavirus is not actual and that it’s only used to develop fear in people and control them. She said, ‘People think Covid-19 is fake, bas ek ma’am hai, jo log phela rahe hain, darne ke liye or control karne ke liye.’ Fatima also indicated how people are getting themselves tested only if they have symptoms. She further suggested said that if one feels sick, they should get tested and isolate themselves immediately to avoid the spread of the virus.

However, Fatima added that people shouldn’t get themselves tested often only because they have money and burden the system. She claims to have heard of people who are getting themselves tested unnecessarily. At such times, one must follow their doctor’s advice and since the system is already burdened and one should get tested only if they have symptoms and if it’s required because the unnecessary test can delay the reports of someone whose condition is serious and their life may be in danger.

The actress also said that amidst the present scenario people should be sympathetic towards others and not only think about themselves. She said that currently the priority of everyone should not getting back to work or shoots at the cost of people’s lives but it should be staying in to keep people safe and be responsible and not be foolish. Fatima says that as artists one can’t think that the theatres have to open because so many people are falling sick, suffering due to a shortage of hospital beds, and medical resources.
