Fashion designer Masaba Gupta opens up about the anxiety her mother, and actress Neena Gupta had to endure before giving birth to her.

Masaba took to Instagram and shared an excerpt from Neena’s autobiography “Sach Kahun Toh”, in which the actress has expressed her struggle of having very little to no money in her bank account which was inadequate to afford a C-section delivery. Neena has also talked about the arrangement of money and how she finally got it.

Sharing photographs of the autobiography, Masaba captioned in the Instagram post and shared that when she was born, her mother had only Rs 2000/- in her bank account and a timely tax reimbursement would increase that number up to Rs 12,000/-. She also reveals that she was a C-section baby. Additionally, Masaba says that after reading her mother’s biography she got to learn so much from her & the hardships she had to go through. Gupta says that she works very hard every single day of her life & never allows anyone does not give her what she deserves. She makes sure she pays her mother back for bringing her into this world with interest.

The particular excerpt from the autobiography reads that as Neena Gupta’s due date had approached, she has started to worry because she had very little money in her bank account and knew that she couldn’t afford a natural birth that would cost only Rs 2000. She realised that if she was to have a C-section, she would be facing enormous trouble because the surgery would cost almost Rs 10,000.

Fortunately, a tax reimbursement of rupees 9000 was given to her just a few days before her delivery and she finally ended up with the total sum of Rs 12,000 in her bank account. She says that it was good luck that the money came through because her doctor had informed her that she would need a C-section. Her father who had come down at the time to help her through the birth was furious saying that it was a ruse to just charge more money from them.
