Filmmakers Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar are going to reunite after six years of their 2013’s blockbuster Bhaag Milkha Bhaag for their upcoming sports drama ‘Toofan’.

Toofan is touted to be a heart warming narrative of a Boxer, to be played by none other than director-actor-singer Farhan. Unlike the duo’s previous project which was a sports biopic, this project will be a fictional narrative written by noted screenwriter writer Anjum Rajabal, from the The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Rajneeti fame.

This high budget movie will be jointly produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan’s Excel Entertainment, along with Rakeysh Mehra’s ROMP Pictures.

Much details of the movie or the cast hasn’t been revealed yet, but as per rumors Dangal star Zaira Wasim who will be soon seen in Shonali Bose’s Farhan and Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘The Sky Is Pink’, might have a pivotal part to play in Toofan.

Farhan will soon begin his hard core training to fit into the role of a Boxer and the movie will be going on floors this year.
