Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest addition, Eternals, has failed to live up to the expectations of the MCU fans as the movie received mixed reviews from critics. However, despite the bad beginning, the movie has been considered an important piece for future MCU movies and fans are eagerly waiting for the follow-up stories of the characters in the movie. However, the Marvel fans in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait are reportedly in bad luck as the movie has been banned in the countries.

According to a report, the censor boards of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait have imposed a ban on the screening of Marvel’s Eternals for showing a homosexual relationship between two main characters of the movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Chloe Zhao directorial has been banned across the gulf for the portrayal of a relationship between the superhero characters Phastos and his partner, Ben, played by Brian Tyree Henry and Haaz Sleiman, respectively.

The report further states that edit requests were made by the censor groups but the requests were turned down by Disney. As a report, the movie has been banned from being released across the Gulf. The superhero flick is still expected to be released on the big screens in the United Arab Emirates.

Helmed by Chloe Zhao, Eternals features an ensemble cast of Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Lia McHugh, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Gil Birmingham, Harish Patel, and Kit Harington.
