Star Plus and Ekta Kapoor are teaming up yet again to come up with a reboot of Balaji Telefilms’ most popular, long running and successful daily soap ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’.

The shoot for the coming season has begun already and the was set to premier on 10th September 2018, however, due to creative and shoot glitches the premier date has been postponed to last week of September i.e. on 25th September 2018.

Keeping the over dramatic and bizarre effects aside, ‘Kasauti’ was one of the bold shows  ahead of its time back in the year 2001. It dealt with pre- marital sex, illegitimacy, infidelity, multiple marriages and for a change had a flawed yet strong female lead, who was not a super human.  The tragic and complicated love story of Anurag, Prerna and Mr. Rishab Bajaj may have gone through a lot of ups and downs, however, ran for good 8 years.

Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan

Popular television stars Erica Fernandes from Sony’s ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi’ fame and Parth Samthaan from MTV and Voot’s ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaarian’ fame are the new hot pairing as leads for the show. They will be playing the titular characters of  Prerna Sharma and Anurag Basu, previously played by Shweta Tiwari and Cezane Khan in the show.

It is yet to be confirmed as to who would be playing  Urvashi Dholakia’s iconic character ‘Komolika’ in the show. Hina Khan and  Krystle D’souza are the two names that are being talked about for the role. The show will take the 8 pm slot on Star Plus.
