Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (ELKDTAL) trailer 2 just dropped in, giving us a more deeper glimpse into the narrative, but at the same time reminded us of Preity Zinta’s year 2000 movie ‘Kya Kehna’.

How? Well throughout the trailer we see glimpses of a stage play being shown to the audience (society) meant to be seen with heart and not mind as requested by Rajkumar, seems to be a scene inspired by Zinta’s movie which revolved around teen pregnancy. The climax scene in the movie narrated the story of Preity’s character, trying to break the stigma around pre-marital sex and being an unwed mother.

ELKDTAL chronicles around a fresh new take on romantic love story family drama, set in a regular household, which we are hoping will open up to break stereotypes and stigma attached to same sex relationships. Breaking the myth around it being a westernised and high society concept.

The intention of the movie is to narrate a story where the emotion ‘Love’ takes precedence and not the gender of the people involved. It’s about letting love be and setting it free.

Anil plays an enthusiastic and eager father to Sonam, who wants her to get married to a suitable guy, regardless of his cast or religion. Rajkumar who is a writer, falls in love with Sonam in the very first instance, however he gets aware of her secret that she has been caging within her heart for years. Thereafter starts a journey of realizations, disappointments, unlearning and acceptance.

Don’t miss out on watching this beautiful journey directed by Shelly Chopra on 1st February in theatres near you.
